Eljer, Inc. Introduces New Cast Iron Sink Options

            DALLAS, TX – August 2007 – Eljer Inc. recently expanded its sink collection with the addition of the Vantage™ primary kitchen sink and Salerno™ bar sink.  Constructed from enameled cast iron, these sinks are not only stylish and functional, but are also built to last. 

            The Vantage sink is a double bowl model featuring one large and one small bowl to accommodate a variety of kitchen activities.  This offset, deep bowl design creates the perfect setting for food preparation or cleaning large pots and pans.  The Vantage sink includes a low rise divider to cascade water from one bowl to the other to reduce the chance of a possible overflow.  The divider also acts as a resting zone when emptying heavy pots and increases mobility by making it easy to move items from one bowl to the other. The Vantage sink is available in white, platinum, onyx, almond and biscuit. 

            The Salerno bar sink is a single bowl model featuring a unique bowl design that is much deeper than most bar sink options.  With the ability to handle a larger workload, this sink creates added capacity and functionality in the bar area. In addition, the Salerno sink can be placed in a variety of secondary sink locations to act as a companion to any Eljer primary kitchen sink.  The Salerno bar sink is available in white, biscuit, almond and onyx.

            Both the Vantage and the Salerno sinks are constructed from a smooth and durable enameled cast iron.  Poured at a cooler temperature than steel, cast iron is more fluid and less prone to casting defects, allowing Eljer to produce highly complex geometries and bowls in a wide range of sizes.  Cast iron also has a good strength to weight ratio and a strong resistance to corrosion, oxidation and abrasion.  With their advanced geometry and durability, the Vantage and Salerno sinks from Eljer are sure to enhance any home.
